A New Houston Hangout?
Anyone who has lived in Houston for a while understands that the social scene is constantly changing and moving to different areas of town. Many moons ago lower Westheimer was the place to go to hangout. Next came the Shepherd area which became hot for a few years, then the scene moved to Downtown Houston. After Downtown got stale people started mixing it up in Midtown. Now its Washington Avenue. However, I am told that people are starting to now move away from the Washington Avenue area because of the amount of police presence encouraged by the residents of that area. If you are looking for the next "hot spot" White Oak area is shaping up as the next place for Houstonians to hangout.
