Tips For NCAA Final Four Visitors

You may have already noticed that Houston, Texas does not have a reliable public transportation system to get around the city.  Additionally, our cab service is not much better, but it beats the alternatives.  This is one of the reasons the city leads the nation in DWI arrests.  In order to avoid a DWI arrest you are best to avoid renting a car while visiting our city.  Take a cab from the airport and try to stay in one of our hotels downtown so you are able to take the Metro Rail to and from Reliant Stadium.  If you want to stay away from the downtown area I would recommend a Galleria area hotel for a more enjoyable experience than downtown.  The hotels in this area are more luxurious and it is centrally located.  You will have easier access to the main social areas in Houston like Uptown Park, the recently opened Kirby locations, and the Washington Avenue area.  Most importantly, it will be a short CAB drive to experience the Final Four.
